My mom picked me up at the airport after my Taiwan trip and took me and my brother's straight to our time share at Lake Chelan. Mostly we just sat around absorbing sun and reading books, so there wasn't much to take pictures of. I've got a couple pictures of us playing volleyball.

One of the days on our vacation Nico and I went on a hike in the North Cascades to Maple Pass. I think it may have been the most spectacular hike of my life. Or more appropriately, the most bang for the buck. On the drive home we hit a deer and totaled the beloved van that took me on many past picture excursions: skiing, California road trip, Oregon road trip, Olympic peninsula road trip, etc.

Our first day in Chelan we played a lot of Beach volleyball with some strangers. Here is me serving up a killer serve.

Lukas and Nico watching my killer serve float over their heads. Notice the weather. There were some massive fires across the lake. It made everything all smoky and ash was even falling from the sky.

Lukas and Nico warring with some beach wood.

The last picture of the van in running condition. And Nico flashing a smile.

Alpine flowers and an alpine meadow.

Oooooooh, a butterfly.

A big mountain.

We essentially walked around this lake on the mountains surrounding it. You can see part of the trail on the left.

Giant Nico belittled by gianter mountains.

Look! It is me and Glacier Peak and some other snowy mountains.

There were many nice mountains on this hike. THE MOST SPECTACULAR VIEWS!

Nico and so many views I couldn't fit them in the picture. We hung out at the peak of this mountain with some incredible view. s.

So much view, I can't appropriately fit it into the confinement of  a webpage.

We hiked across that meadow.

We thought the hike was winding down when we found this spectacular double waterfall.

That waterfall lead into a lake, which Nico and I swam in to cool off. Look there is Nico swimming.

I had Nico drive on the way home because I was super tired from a poor nights sleep. A dangol deer jumped out and totaled our beautiful van. The deer's guts got busted out and landed in a neat little pile on the side of the road. Look there they are.

The deer bounced off the van, across the road, and landed in a ravine under a bush. Stupid deer. Why did you have to break our van? Why couldn't you just look both ways?

And the poor van, with more damages than it is worth. You will be missed.
