Chris and Manu came to visit in March of 2004. I didn't think it would be possible, but we found time to go skiing to recreate some of the fun that Chris and I (and sometimes Heather) had in the Alps last year. Sunday, April 29th (leap year, 12 years to the day after I broke my leg at Crystal) I drove Heather, Joan, Manu, Chris, and I up to Steven's Pass for some Steven's Pass goodness. Here are some pictures that Chris took from the day.

Ahhhhhhh, Steven's.

Chris and I started by doing a few runs with Joan and Heather.

I then took Chris down Wild Katz, in my opinion the longest, most difficult, and arduous official run in the state.

We then decided to do some laps under the 7th Heaven chair before it closed. Yikes don't go straight, to the right seems to be a better option.

I like this little chute. No one ever skis it.

Ski ski ski.

After a few runs I had a little accident. The lift operator came to check if I was ok. Notice the fence I took out and the heel piece of my binding which is the dot by that snow pile.

I fell off of a snow embankment. It took me a little while to get back up.

I then skied down on one ski. It took some getting used to though.

I pretty quickly got the hang of it.

I put my old skis on and we finished the day with some awesome night skiing.

Ohhhh, van. How good are you?
